Well i guess its that time to put some more pictures up. I am once again above the weather. Its the altitude that has been getting to me. We are presently in La Paz, Bolivia (approx. 4000m above sea level), and we are finally going to begin our decend downward to sea level. It is crazy when we accent up just a few hundred meters i start to get a wicked migraine and then become very, very, nauseated and then well you know how the rest goes. So this afternoon we are heading to Puno, Peru and then to Ariquipa. This picture above is of a baby Llama. On our bus ride to Puno, we stopped for a pit stop and were able to feed the Llamas. They were so cute, except when two of them began ¨fighting¨ (if you know what i mean). During our stay in Puno we were able to check out one of the local islands made completely of reeds, on Lake Ticicaca. The locals pick the reeds from the waters and dry them in the sun and then add them to the islands or make floating boats out of them. Apparently, now a days the locals have started to buy wooden boats as the reed boats last approx. 3 months and then they begin to get water logged and start to rot. So the reed boats that are made now are mainly for tourists, but nonetheless still pretty cool. So the above pictures are mainly of Uros Island. Then we moved onto Cococabana, Bolivia and like anthony said Ila Del Sol was a tourists trap! And La PAz is amazing. Its a huge city and a shoppers heaven. They have a black market (where the majority of electronics and clothing are either stolen or fake), a whiches market (where you can pretty much buy any type of potion, pill, or animal part), and a massive food market (where literally the streets are jam packed with little kiosks and you can buy any type of food, product, or flowers that your heart desires). It has definately been quite an experience. We went and saw the movie James Bond 007 last night and the parts of the movie says its in La Paz, so we were going to go take some pictures of the hotel and area but unfortunately, they lied. Stupid graphics! Anyways, we are off to Puno and we´ll post some pictures then.
